Josh & Melissa Wilhoit

Josh and Melissa are the founders and Executive Directors of Fostering Hope.  They have seven children.  Two are their biological children, and five have been adopted through foster care! God called the Wilhoits into foster care in 2012.  They know from experience that foster care can be difficult and overwhelming at times, so they want to help encourage and support foster families & children of the Wiregrass through Fostering Hope.  Their vision of helping with tangible needs through a clothing closet has grown, and they are now able to help support & assist in many other ways with the community’s help!

Anna Benak

Anna is the Assistant Director at Fostering Hope. She is a mother to two sweet girls. Her heart for fostering started when her aunt began fostering, and she realized what a need there was in our community for foster parents. She believes that taking in a child and showing them that they are loved and important is an amazing opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus. She has fostered and served as a respite foster parent for several children. Fostering Hope has helped provide much needed assistance for her on multiple occasions, and she now enjoys helping others through this ministry.

Melinda Flynn

Melinda is the mother of seven children, six boys and one girl.  Six are her biological children and one foster son.  Their oldest son was in foster care from the time he was twelve until he aged out at 18. Although not adopted, he is a part of their family.  She and her husband, Arthur, have had a heart for foster care since being foster parents in the early 90’s working with the DYS branch, along with DHR. They were introduced to foster care by their close friends, Linnie and Debbie Dickson, who operate the foster care ministry, Shepherd’s Staff Ministries, of Montgomery, AL. Melinda, along with her husband, believe foster care is a vital part of their Christian walk. James 1:27a says “Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless… in their affliction”.  What better way to show the love of Christ than to a hurting child; to be His hands and feet.

Jennifer Quattlebaum

Jennifer is a loving wife and devoted homeschool mom with 3 children (2 daughters and 1 step son).  She loves the Lord and considers herself blessed, as she sees God at work in her life.  Jennifer loves her church family and enjoys singing on the praise and worship team, teaching children on Wednesday nights, and serving alongside church members to meet the physical and spiritual needs of her community. God has placed a desire in her heart to further carry out the Great Commission by supporting and encouraging foster families in this area.  This verse, James 1:22, 27 “We must be doers of the word, not hearers only. Pure and undefiled religion before God: to visit the orphans & widows in their time of trouble”, has impressed itself upon Jennifer’s heart and has called her to serve as a board member for Fostering Hope. She desires to be vessel through which she can share God’s love with foster families in our community, who have graciously opened their hearts and homes to children who desperately need Christ’s love poured into their lives.  It is with great joy she seeks to be a part of Fostering Hope Ministries and she is excited to see God at work restoring hope in these children’s lives!
